On Sunday the 29th of Januari Galerie Beeld opens an exhibition of work of Peter Peereboom and Bahram Hajou.

Claude Lorent, art critic about Peter Peereboom's work:  "The points of contact between rhytm and architecture, the human presence, the play on the seen or the hidden, although not quite complementary, succeed in giving the impression of equilibrum. The relief's photographs are sequences referring to sculptural pose on a pdestal, as well as human nudity, before a white wall and her shadows; a work rich with references. The paintings also expoit the repetive divisions, brurred in white, where a female ' equilibrist' tries to keep her balance. Beautiful work with dealing in the end with the place of the human being in the artistic world."

There is something unalterable in his pictures – as if the image of mankind seems to be a verdict. However, apart from this urgency liberty has also its effect being present as space and color. The image of mankind changes to a memorial of its vulnerability.

Luminosity and gloom, water, soil, gale are already present before the individuals. It appears as if they grow out of a primordial chaos, as if they were released from the force of the elements. BAHRAM is the creator of a dramatic world of painting.
